Brittany Nichols, DMD

Dentist

Brittany grew up outside of Atlanta, Georgia, close to the opposite corner of the country. She completed her degree in Biology from Valdosta State University and obtained her Doctorate from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. Throughout her time in school Brittany was involved in community outreach and upon graduating in 2016 she practiced for her first year in low income Chicago neighborhoods with a focus on children’s care. She, along with Will, is on the board of directors for Health and Hope, a nonprofit that focuses on dental care and women’s health in under-served areas of the world and in 2018 and 2022 spent two weeks in Northern Tanzania delivering dental care and medical supplies to local villages. She is currently helping plan a medical aid trip to the northern Philippines. Brittany is a member of the Academy of Clear Aligners and has studied under Dr. John Kois and Dr. David Galler. When not traveling the world, Brittany enjoys spending her free time tending their vegetable garden, walking their dog Murphy, and learning the Banjo.

The Real Heroes

Kristina

Our fearless Office Manager, she’ll be the first one you see when you walk in the door. Which is good because she also has the coolest hair. Kristina can answer any question you have ever had, ever.

Madi

The Lead Assistant and youngest in the office, Madi keeps us all up to date on what the youth of today is doing. She’s fantastic with patients and does an excellent job putting up with Dr. Will’s jokes, but her real talent is as a house DJ spinning mad beats at the Wild Buffalo.

Angie

Dr. Hovorka gifted our practice many things including wonderful patients and valuable equipment but his greatest gift was his former hygienist Angie. She can talk oral heath, she can talk skiing, she can restaurants, she can do it all.

Elise

Front office receptionist extraordinaire, Elise is a wonderful communicator with an even better smile. Because when your background is teaching kiddos dealing with insurance companies is a breeze.

Hailee

One Third of our talented hygienists, Hailee works out of the garden operatory two days a week and keeps things cool, calm, and fresh. Also check out her Starwars scrubs that match her kids onsies, they’re great.

Ruby

Probably the sweetest person in the office, caring is what Ruby does. As an assistant she’ll be the first to offer you a blanket or a second pillow and makes taking care of patients look easy.

Christie

You know that wonderful sensation when your teeth feel all smooth and clean and well, wonderful? Christie makes that happen three wonderful days a week. You can also check out her dog Trooper’s instagram which is more popular than hers.

Kim

A staple of every Thursday at the practice, Kim is incredibly kind, great at x-rays, and always has a huge smile on her face. It may be because we promised her cookies when she joined up.

Dr. Dennis Hoofnagle - The Old Guard

Dr. Dennis Hoofnagle is a Bellingham Institution. Practicing dentistry from North Forest Street since 1972 he’s a man who earned his reputation for clinical excellence and an even bigger heart. The staff love him, the patients adore him, and he’s finally taking some well deserved retirement.

Cheri

She was one of the first voices you heard and the first smile you saw. And that’s because she’s the best. She worked alongside Dr. Hoofnagle for over 40 years and she still makes sure we’re feeding the fish properly.
